报告题目:Traveling wave solutions for a Keller-Segel system with nonlinear chemical gradient
报告摘要:In this talk we present new results on the existence of traveling wave solutions for a generalized Keller-Segel system. The system incorporates the nonlinear gradient response of the cells to the chemical signal (describing the chemotactic effect) and nonlinear and non-monotone degradation rate of the chemical signal. Using the geometric singular perturbation theory and the phase plane analysis, we establish the existence of a family of traveling wave solutions of the system and obtain the explicit necessary and sufficient condition for the maximal wave speed equal to the positive infinity. We also obtain an upper bound of the wave speed so that if the wave speed is smaller than this bound, then the corresponding wave profile of the chemical is strictly decreasing.
